Clio Shalyna

  

A potra Clio Shalyna é a atual atração do Haras Clio, filha do puro egípcio Al Hadiyah AA em Shalina (Shael Dream Desert x Celina K, que é uma filha de Borsalino K em HE Talora, por Prichal). Quando observamos o pedigree dela, temos a clara visão de onde veio tanta beleza:

Prichal (Aswan x Palmira) foi um dos mais influentes reprodutores da criação brasileira. Graças a um problema sanitário que brecou sua entrada nos Estados Unidos, foi enviado para a República Dominicana e, para nossa sorte, de lá foi trazido para o Brasil no final de 1983 por Romildo Carvalho Cunha (Haras Esmeralda). Deixou filhas muito preciosas como Jur Gleenchal, Hakima ELS, HE Talora e Prates Prichika, entre outras. Entre os machos os destaques foram HE Laswan e Don El Chall, cuja progênie está presente pelo mundo.

 The filly Clio Shalyna is the current attraction at Haras Clio. She is a daughter of the Pure Egyptian Al Hadiyah AA out of  Shalina (Shael Dream Desert x Celina K, which is a daughter of Borsalino K out of HE Talora, by Prichal). When we look at her pedigree, we have a clear vision of where it came from so much beauty.
Prichal (Aswan x Palmira) was one of the most influential stallions of the modern Brazilian breeding. Thanks to a health problem that did not allow his entry into the United States, he was sent to the Dominican Republic and, lucky for us, from there was imported to Brazil in late 1983 by Romildo Cunha Carvalho (Haras Esmeralda). In Brazil he left precious daughters as Jur Gleenchal, Hakima ELS, HE Talora and Prates Prichika, among others. Among the main stallions sired by him were HE Laswan and Don El Chall, whose progeny is present throughout the world.
 

Juízes

Essa história tem mais de 20 anos. Em um dos meus 12 anos como diretor de Exposições da ABCCA, vários treinadores queriam saber com muita antecedência quem seriam os juízes estrangeiros de determinadas exposições. Muitas vezes ainda nem tínhamos as datas certas das mostras, se era no primeiro final de semana do mês ou no seguinte, etc., e isso tornava impraticável convidar os juízes. Certa vez, um famoso treinador vinha insistindo muito e em todas as reuniões de diretoria ele vinha com a mesma pergunta: "Quem vai julgar Avaré?". Como não havia nenhuma confirmação ainda, resolvi dias depois lançar "extra-oficialmente" um boato com os nomes dos três juízes convidados: Adam West, Burt Ward e Jonathan Harris. Foi o suficiente para acalmar o interessado por uns três meses, que inclusive chegou a comentar que um deles era "muito experiente". Quando finalmente os juízes certos foram confirmados, ninguém mais perguntou sobre os primeiros nomes, que eram, na verdade dos atores que faziam o seriado da TV Batman e Robin (Adam e Burt) e o dr. Smith de Perdidos no Espaço (Jonathan).

This story has more than 20 years. In one of my 12 years as Shows Director of the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association several trainers wanted to know in advance who would be the the foreign judges chosen for certain shows. Since we did not have the right dates of these shows, it was impossible to invite the judges. Once a famous trainer had been insisting a lot on it and during the board meetings he was always making the same question: "Who will judge the Avare show?". So I decided days later "unofficially" launch a rumor with the names of the three invited judges: Adam West, Burt Ward and Jonathan Harris. It was enough to calm the trainer for about three months, and he even commented that one of them was "very experienced". When finally the right judges were confirmed, no one asked about the first names that were actually actors who did the TV series Batman and Robin (Adam and Burt) and Dr. Smith's Lost in Space (Jonathan).

Minha escolha para o Campeonato Égua da Copa das Nações de Aachen (juntamente com outros dois juízes), onde se tornou Campeã Bronze, foi a tordilha Salwa Al Zobair (Marajj x Esklawa, por Eukaliptus). Ela retornou triunfante ao Salon du Cheval e obteve nada menos que seis notas 20 de Tipo Árabe entre os seis juízes e sagrou-se Campeã Mundial Ouro com outros seis primeiros lugares entre os oito juízes do campeonato. Apresentada por Tom Schoukens, é de criação e propriedade do Al Zobair Stud do Emirado Árabe de Sharjah.

No final do julgamento de Aachen um criador veio me perguntar o quê eu havia visto nela. A resposta veio poucos dias depois.

My choice for the All Nations Cup Mare Championship (along with two other judges) was the grey Salwa Al Zobair (Marajj x Esklawa, by Eukaliptus). She became Bronze Champion but returned triumphant at the Salon du Cheval where obtained no less than six 20 notes for Type from all the six judges and was later crowned World and Gold Champion Mare with six first positions from the eight judges. Presented by Tom Schoukens, she is bred and owned by Al Zobair Stud of Sharjah (UAE).
Just after the Aachen championships, a breeder came to ask me what I had seen on her. The answer came a few days later... 

Kuwait 2016 

No começo deste mês de fevereiro estarei pela primeira vez no Kuwait para julgar a exposição internacional do Festival 2016. Depois do show, algumas visitas estão agendadas para conhecer os principais haras daquele país, que tem mostrado um recente grande aumento no número de criadores.

Earlier this month of February I will be for the first time in Kuwait to judge the international show, during the 2016 Festival. After the event, some visits are scheduled to the main stables of that country.

Shows internacionais 2015

     

Nesse ano de 2015 Vico e eu tivemos a oportunidade de julgar alguns dos mais importantes shows da Europa e do Hemisfério Sul. São experiências únicas que nos fazem ter uma visão mais abrangente do que vem sendo criado pelo mundo. Em junho, Vico esteve no Uruguai julgando a Expo Otoño. Depois foi até a França para atuar na exposição de Menton, oficialmente chamada de Campeonato de Cavalos Árabes do Mediterrâneo e Países Árabes, sem dúvida uma das mais agradáveis para se assistir de todo o circuito europeu de shows. No final de outubro julgou a Expo Criadores, no Clube Alemão de Equitação, em Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2015 Vico and I had the opportunity to judge some of the most important shows in Europe and the southern hemisphere. These shows are unique experiences that make us have a broader view of what is being bred around the world. In June, Vico was in Uruguay judging the Expo Otoño. Then went to France to work in Menton show, officially named Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championship, undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable to watch of the entire European circuit of shows. Late October he also judged the Argentinean Breeders Cup, held at the Club Aleman de Equitacion in Buenos Aires.

  

De minha parte fui até a Austrália em janeiro para o East Coast Championships e depois, em maio, para a Bélgica no Bruges Arabian Horse Event, uma exposição que vê sua importância aumentar a cada ano. Dessa mostra vou ilustrar com uma foto da Campeã Suprema do show: Aja Carrera (ZT Marwteyn x Aja Carina, por WH Justice), potra de um ano de idade. 
From my side I went to Australia in January for the East Coast Championships and then, in May, for Belgium to judge the Bruges Arabian Horse Event, an event that has increased its importance every year. No final de setembro tive o prazer de julgar pela quarta vez a All Nations Cup, em Aachen, Alemanha, onde se reúne a grande nata da criação mundial. Agora julgarei a nossa Exposição Nacional Brasileira, de 18 a 22 de novembro, no Helvetia Riding Center, em Indaiatuba (SP).

In late September I had the pleasure of judging, for the fourth time, the important All Nations Cup in Aachen, Germany. Now is the turn of the Brazilian Nationals, from November 18th to the 22nd.

Gerado por uma reprodutora nascida no Haras Clio, o garanhão Byzantium O, filho de Jaipur El Perseus em Clio Belize (Don El Chall x Borgatta El Jamaal), sagrou-se Reservado Campeão Cavalo na Região 12 americana em 2015.

Seu pai Jaipur (Perseus El Jamaal x Jullye El Ludjin), na foto abaixo, nasceu no Haras Meia Lua, pertence ao grupo The Jaipur Initiative e encontra-se na Bélgica, alojado na Jadem Arabians, de Christine Jamar.
The stallion Byzantium O, son of Jaipur El Perseus out of Clio Belize (Don El Chall x Borgatta El Jamaal), was named Region 12 Reserve Champion Stallion.
His father Jaipur (Perseus El Jamaal x Jullye El Ludjin), pictured below, was born at Haras Meia Lua, is owned by the group The Jaipur Initiative and stands at Jadem Arabians in Belgium.

Árabes no Central Park

O Central Park de Nova York recebeu os cavalos Árabes no dia 23 de setembro para o Arabian US Open, realizado no Rolex Central Park Horse Show. Uma iniciativa ousada do grupo de criadores que colaborou nesse novo projeto de divulgação da raça. Entre os juízes estava o brasileiro Fabio Amorosino. Para 2016 planeja-se realizar o evento no dia 21 de setembro. 
New York Central Park received the Arabian horses for the Arabian US Open, held on September 23rd. at the Rolex Central Park Horse Show. A strong initiative of a group of breeders who collaborated in this new promotional project for the bred. Among the judges was the Brazilian Fabio Amorosino. For 2016 it is planned the event for September 21st.

Hipismo Rural

Copa Volkswagen de Hipismo Rural realizada pela ABHIR em Avaré em 1983 com o apoio da ABCCA. Eduardo Caio saltando aquele que é considerado o obstáculo mais antológico da história do esporte, com mais de dois metros sobre uma estradinha de terra. Essa foto não foi feita por mim, mas foi nessa época que comecei a fotografar Árabes em provas e exposições.
Volkswagen Cup, a rural jumping competition supported by the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association in 1983 at the city of Avaré. Rider Eduardo Caio jumping one that is considered the most anthological obstacle in the history of this sport in Brazil, with more than two meters over a dirt road. This picture was not made by me, but around this time I started to make Arabian horse pictures at shows and events.

Parabéns e sucesso ao Haras Dharamsala (Marcos Tinoco) pela aquisição da Campeã Nacional Rywanna (Ryad El Jamaal x Marwan Cristal RCA, por Marwan Al Shaqab). Criada pelo Haras Clio, venceu todas exposições em que participou em 2013, culminando com o título máximo na Nacional Brasileira (apresentada por  Rinaldo Longuini).
Em sua nova casa estará na companhia de excelentes animais, como o reprodutor SF Veraz (Gazal Al Shaqab x Veronica GA, por Versace), na foto abaixo.
